R'n'B singer, Elliott Yamin, gained storybook success after auditioning for talent show, American Idol. Encouraged by his own idol, Stevie Wonder, Yamin quickly soared through the TV show’s merciless ranks, resulting in a 2007 record deal with Sony/ATV. Yamin’s self-titled album release broke Billboard chart records, catching the attention of both domestic and international audiences alike. A Japanese edition of the album quickly followed and was awarded the gold certificate by the RIA (Japan). Yamin’s rhythmic vocals hold their own, and this highly anticipated stint in the nation's capital will be a tough one to find tickets for.
