Never mind that rock DJ and event promoter Yuya Tsuji is a mere 19 years old: he's already got enough clout to organise events like this five-venue, 60-artist indie marathon, which will be sprawling across the Kabukicho area all day on Saturday. Zazen Boys and The Telephones are the biggest names on the bill at Eternal Rock City, and both will be playing in venues far smaller than they're accustomed to (Marz and Motion, respectively). Also keep an eye out for jazzy art-rock outfit Nhhmbase, post-punks 6eyes and Kaisoku Tokyo, power popsters Holidays of Seventeen, post-hardcore goofballs Usotsuki Barbie and Jesus Lizard aficionados Psysalia Psysalis Psyche – though that's barely scratching the surface.
Gigs will be held on Loft's two stages and at Marz, Motion and Marble, with an additional DJ area at Oto on the way back towards Shinjuku Station. See the complete timetable here.
