Finland Fest: Metal Attack

This Finnish heavy metal extravaganza has been a fixture on the yearly calendar since 2005, rallying some of the Scandinavian county's most fearsome acts for an evening of windswept headbanging. The latest Metal Attack gig sees 15-year scene veterans Amoral and Insomnium join death/doom sextet Swallow the Sun and self-proclaimed 'death n' roll' experts Profane Omen. A fierce lineup, though all of the bands risk looking like mere saplings compared to local support Anthem, who've been at it since 1981.
