Californian hip hop/jazz/avant-R&B wizard Flying Lotus – alias Steven Ellison – has a record of staging mind-blowing live shows, accompanying his lopsided beats with hypnotic visuals. He returns to Tokyo this evening with a new album (You're Dead) to bolster his latest 'Hyper Cube' set, which should also feature plenty of trippy tracks from his acclaimed records Cosmogramma and Until the Quiet Comes. Joining the star is Austrian innovator Dorian Concept, whose recent Red Bull Music Academy appearance scored rave reviews among Tokyo clubbers.
