Gueen

Golden Week just wouldn't be Golden Week without Gueen. Japan's premier Queen tribute act have been worshipping at the altar of Freddie Mercury et al. since 1990, led by the irrepressible Yoshinori 'Freddie' Hatae. Their annual spring show at Shibuya O-East – one of the few gigs they play each year – is invariably a grandiose (some might say ludicrous) affair, wherein the group attempt to recreate the stadium-sized spectacle of their forebears. Sure, Hatae doesn't have the vocal chops that Freddie did, but he's got enough conviction to make it work, and the band themselves are pretty much flawless.
