Cool off with cutting-edge ambient tunes on Saturday evening at the atmospheric Nanahari out in Chuo ward's Shinkawa, where the lineup for this four-part session is headed by the experimentally-minded Chihei Hatakeyama. Said Tokyo native has been hypnotising fans with his melancholic, noise-incorporating and overwhelming – but remarkably simple and beautiful – melodies since 2006, and his fame has even started seeping across the oceans in recent years. Hatakeyama released his latest album on Australian label Room40 and has attracted interest in Europe as well. Catch him in his element alongside fellow experimentalists Ryo Okada, Kon Fukamachi and Yamaimo.
