Jazz Week Tokyo 2013

Time Out says

In what looks like it might become a rival to the established Tokyo Jazz festival, Shibuya's Theatre Orb debuts a new, high-profile jazz event of its own this month. Rather than copy Tokyo Jazz's approach of bundling disparate artists together in themed concerts, Jazz Week Tokyo will program just one act per show, with a similar mix of domestic and international names. Representing the home side are club jazzers Soil & "Pimp" Sessions (performing in an expanded big-band format), Naruyoshi Kikuchi y Pepe Tormento Azucarar and chanteuse Aki Yashiro, while former Miles Davis sideman Wayne Shorter, big band Pink Martini and father-son guitar duo Egberto and Alexandre Gismonti bring some international flavour.
