Time Out says

Kaoru Watanabe's ambition was already evident when he worked as an artistic director for taiko group Kodo, but it comes to the fore in his annual Resonance gigs, in which the fue flute player engineers one-off sessions between musicians, artists and (in some cases) dancers. Though last year's gig ended up being cancelled after March 11, Watanabe will be heading over from his home in New York to helm the 2012 edition. Chief among the guests this time around is master percussionist Kiyohiko Semba, who's joined by other musicians including taiko player Tetsuro Naito (another ex-Kodo man) and singer Mio Matsuda, with visuals by Resonance regular DH Rosen. Advance reservations can be made via Facebook or by emailing resonance@tokyodex.com.
