Time Out says
Psychedelically inclined Tokyo foursome Kufuki play what they call 'shamanic electronic' music – a mind-bending fusion of Japanese folk and electro-dance pioneered on 2012 album Kufuki. They're now back with a new disc, Dodome EP, the release of which will be celebrated at Bonobo on Friday night. Support is set to come from British DJ Howard Williams, an expert on Japanese oldies who spins under the moniker Japan Blues, and Soi 48, a DJ unit specialised in the music of Thailand’s Isan region. The packed programme also includes an appearance by Utena Kobayashi, an experimental upstart who creates folk-inspired electronic soundscapes with instruments including steelpans and the marimba.
