Time Out says

When Ohio guitarist Mark McGuire parted ways with his band Emeralds last year, it was tempting to speculate that he'd got fed up with it interfering with his release schedule. Though he's had a few albums on the (relatively) high profile Editions Mego label, they're mere blips in a vast discography of limited-edition CDRs and cassettes, in which the DIY scene figurehead stakes his claim as the sonic heir to the work of earlier sonic voyagers like Manuel Göttsching and Robert Fripp and Brian Eno. Following on from his well-received debut here last year, McGuire returns for a gig in support of new album Along the Way. Fellow trance-inducing axeman Dustin Wong supports, alongside his former Ponytail bandmate, Ken Seeno.
