Though last weekend's Thai Festival ended up getting cancelled in the wake of March 11, yanking One Love was never an option: after all, May 11 marked the 30th anniversary of the death of Bob Marley, the event's de facto patron saint. The main stage will be winding things up a little earlier this year, but otherwise it promises to be business as usual, with One Love regulars such as Rankin Taxi, Mi-I and the Little Mountain Sound System supplying the requisite good vibrations. Get there early-ish on Saturday to catch The Tchiky's, a nifty Afrobeat-flavoured combo whose name we still haven't figured out how to pronounce properly, while there'll be a 'history of Jamaican dance' session on Sunday afternoon. And, naturally, it would be remiss to go home without gorging on some jerk chicken, preferably washed down with Red Stripe. You know the drill.
