Time Out says

When people talk about the relative fortunes of Japanese acts attempting to break the US, the curious case of Orquesta de la Luz tends to get overlooked. But in 1990, this salsa orchestra spent 11 weeks at the top of the Billboard Latin charts with their international debut album, Salsa Caliente del Japón. Though the group split up in 1997, they would reform for a 9/11 charity gig five years later, and have been going ever since – albeit sporadically. This will be their first Tokyo date in over a year, and promises to feel like reacquainting yourself with an old friend.
