While Ben Cooper is best known for the indie-electronica pop he makes with Electric President, in his solo Radical Face project he focuses on a brand of Americana that's steeped in tradition – literally. Last year's The Family Tree: The Roots album chronicled the first two generations of a fictional family living in the 19th century. Oh, and it was recorded in a tool shed. The inevitable Bon Iver collaborations were borne out when Cooper collaborated on a track with Tokyo dream-pop trio Miaou last year, and the two acts have spent the past week touring Japan together. They arrive in Tokyo for their final date, which comes with additional support from Osaka girl group Water Fai.
