Rasmus Faber & The RaFa Orchestra

Back before he became an all-conquering house DJ and producer, Sweden's Rasmus Faber was a trained jazz pianist and session musician – a background that came in handy when he decided to put together his own band. The ten-member RaFa Orchestra (here supplemented by DJ Alf Tumble) could be filed under 'club jazz', but their songs run the gamut from lush soul to funk to fusion. They return this weekend to Billboard Live, the venue where they cut their recent Live in Tokyo video.
