Time Out says

Kagoshima native Minami Yamaguchi started She Talks Silence as a solo project before moving to Tokyo and recruiting a band, and her songs still have the intimacy of melodies wrought quietly in a bedroom. The group are heavily indebted to early- and mid-'80s UK indie, not only in terms of their sound but also their staunch DIY aesthetic: Yamaguchi and (synth) drummer Ami Kawai diligently affixed feathers to all 1,000 copies of their new mini album, Some Small Gifts. She Talks Silence will be playing live and also DJing at the release party, with appearances by Mark Sorvari from In Corridors, and DJs including illustrator Kuniko Nagasaki and Twee Grrrls Club's Satomi. The admission price includes one drink and a 'small gift'.
