Shibuya Music Festival

The streets of Shibuya will echo with music again. This year's edition of the Shibuya Music Festival takes place all over the area, centring on locations such as Hachiko Square and Dogenzaka-dori. Genres represented range from classical to jazz and from pop to traditional Japanese drumming, and there will also be dance performances to go with the music. Highlights include a freestyle rap tournament at Vision on October 22 (from 4pm) and streetside jazz gigs by veteran Isao Suzuki (at Dogenzaka). Take a stroll around Shibuya in mid-October and, before you know it, you may very well find yourself jamming to some catchy live tunes.
