Thee Oh Sees

Time Out says

San Francisco's reputation for scuzzed-out garage rock rests largely on the work of two acts: Ty Segall and this quartet led by John Dwyer. After years of building their reputation on riotous live shows and a slew of lo-fi recordings, Thee Oh Sees finally went hi-fi on last year's Putrifiers II album, earning themselves a deserved place in many best-of-2012 lists. Too bad that their Tokyo date clashes with Japandroids at WWW, but Thee Oh Sees might just have the edge thanks to a strong support bill that includes psychedelic noise orchestra Vampillia and Shugo Tokumaru-fronted indie rockers Gellers.
