Time Out says

Anyone who thought Japan's infatuation with idol pop was just a passing fad need only look at the lineup for this three-day festival to realise how wrong they were. At the time of writing, there are 222 different groups scheduled to take part in this year's Tokyo Idol Festival, billed as the world's largest event of its kind.

Look forward to shows by AKB 48, Nogizaka 46, Lovely Doll and the Cyber Japan Dancers, who usually perform in clubs around Japan, plus a whole load you probably haven't heard of yet. There will also be merchandise from your favourite bands on sale at the Grand Market. A ticket to the Tokyo Idol Festival costs ¥8,800 per day, or ¥24,800 for all three days.
