Time Out says
Japan’s biggest jazz festival always features a stellar lineup of artists. The main stage in NHK Hall hosts the headliners on August 31 and September 1, which this year include Charles Lloyd, Avishai Cohen Trio and Kamasi Washington.
But for something a bit special, you’re better off exploring the free gigs at the outdoor stage along Yoyogi Park’s Keyaki Namiki street (from August 30). Last year's festival saw about 70,000 visitors enjoying the shows at the NHK Hall and Yoyogi Park.
