Time Out says

Classical concert series Tokyo Music Evening Yube will be hosting the Kobaken and Friends Orchestra at the Global Ring Theater in Ikebukuro in November.

Kenichiro Kobayashi, nicknamed Kobaken, has conducted orchestras at some of the world's leading music festivals. He created this orchestra during the 2005 Special Olympic Games held in Nagano.

The program will feature songs like ‘The Moldau’ by Bedřich Smetana and ‘Farandole’ by Georges Bizet.

Since this is one of the first outdoor concerts of this series during the ongoing pandemic, seats have been arranged to ensure social distancing and guest numbers are limited. Seats will be provided but guests are allowed to stand if needed.

The concert will be available to stream on Tokyo Music Evening Yube’s official YouTube page the day after the event. The stream starts at 5.30pm with a tour through Ikebukuro West Exit Park’s Extreme Illumination 2020.

This project is conducted with the help of Tokyo Tourism Foundation’s initiative Nightlife Tourism Promotion Grant.
