Classical concert series Tokyo Music Evening Yube hosts the dynamic duo, Seigen Tokuzawa and Masaki Hayashi, who will be performing post-classical music on cello and piano.
Cellist, composer and song arranger Tokuzawa works in a wide range of genres including pop, jazz and rock and has done concert tours of Japan frequently since 2009. Pianist and composer Hayashi has worked alongside acclaimed singers like Lisa Ono, Naruyoshi Kikuchi and Ringo Sheena.
The program will feature a total of 11 songs including some of the duo’s original works, ‘Elect’ and ‘Einstein Effect Seigen’, as well as covers like Squarepusher’s ‘Lambic 9 Poetry’ and ‘Venus in Furs’ by American rock band The Velvet Underground.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, seats have been arranged to ensure social distancing and guest numbers are limited.
