A fierce pianist, ska influencer and central figure in Jamaican reggae history, the pioneeringly groovy Gladstone 'Gladdy' Anderson passed away late last year at the age of 81. Head over to Daikanyama's Unit during Golden Week to remember the legend – performing on the night will be veteran singer Stranger Cole, who worked with Gladdy on classic tracks such as 1968's 'Just Like A River'. Backing up the man will be local orchestra Matt Sounds.
