TV Asahi Dream Festival

Long the wielder of an inordinate amount of influence over Japan's music scene thanks to its weekly Music Station show, TV Asahi is finally throwing its own festival – and at the Budokan, no less. It's a 'dream' lineup for people who like their rock mainstream, and who don't recoil at the sight of Exile-nurtured boy band J Soul Brothers. L'Arc-en-Ciel, Tokyo Jihen and B'z are the three headliners, with everyone from Perfume to The Cro-Magnons also getting a look-in.
