The Soi48 crew at Kabukicho's Be-Wave put on yet another Sunday evening of crack beats from the South: the special guest this time is Jakarta-based DJ Uda Sjam, purveyor of rare Southeast Asian tunes and a passionate record collector who also runs his own shop in the Indonesian capital. You've probably never heard of the genres this renaissance man specialises in – Ago-go, surf beat and Orkes Melayu, to name a few – but that's exactly what makes him so well worth catching. Bonus beats will be served in the form of a Thai-inspired Molam DJ set, courtesy of Soi48's own Keiichi Utsuki and Shinsuke Takagi.
