Vegpher Release Party

Sound designer Hiroshi Sugimoto is a prolific guy, juggling projects including pop-tinged electronica outfit FilFla and the more minimal, contemplative FourColor. With his latest creation, he's nudging things closer to the dancefloor: working under the Vegpher moniker, Sugimoto incorporates a distinct house influence into his productions, though the results are more redolent of Matmos than Mr. Fingers. He marks the release of debut Vegpher album Plays at Soup this weekend, in the company of fellow laptop boffins Nyolfen, Kyoka and Bisk, with DJ support from Inner Science.
