Time Out says

This one's been a long time in the offing. At the ripe age of 58, Australian jazz institution Vince Jones will finally be making his Japan debut this weekend, with three nights of performances at Marunouchi's plush Cotton Club. The Glasgow-born Jones started off as a bebop trumpeter before an infatuation with R&B led him to discover his real calling as a vocalist. He still brings his trumpet along for gigs today, but it's his singing that has made him a widely celebrated talent in his native country, drawing on a repertoire that extends from jazz to rock, soul, blues and folk music. He performs here with his regular band of Matt McMahon (piano), James Muller (guitar), Ben Waples (bass) and Simon Barker (drums).
