Also known as Franc O, Brooklynite Frank Gossner is one of the world's foremost collectors of rare ’70s- and ’80s-era Afrobeat, Nigerian disco, Ghana highlife and the like. His passion for the undiscovered has led him, time and time again, to the off-the-beaten-path sectors of West Africa, with these trips yielding a wealth of material for his incredible Voodoo Funk blog and his eponymous parties. He's even been the subject of a documentary (trailer below), and will now be spinning in person at Kabukicho's Be-Wave. Unmissable for friends of African groove.
