Popular Shibuya nightclub Womb is celebrating its 23rd anniversary this year with a set from British-Canadian DJ Richie Hawtin. Renowned as a pioneer of the Detroit techno scene in the early 1990s, Hawtin has continued to be a major force in electronic music. He's appearing at Womb fresh from producing the soundtrack for the Prada fashion show, and this will be his first set at the Shibuya nightclub in eight years.
Aside from Hawtin, you can also enjoy performances on the main floor from Machìna, a former K-pop singer turned electronic music artist, and techno music mixer Wata Igarashi.
On the first floor and in the VIP lounge, there’ll be sets from a line-up of local DJs and producers including DJ Aki, DJ Ogawa and Pi-Ge. You can see the full list of artists on the website.
Advanced tickets are sold out, but you can still buy tickets at the door for ¥5,000.
