Mai Fujinoya is a man of ample talents: his website profile cites his vocations as bassist, guitarist, songwriter, lyricist, producer, recording engineer, instrument maker, software designer, event organiser, remixer and DJ. And they might actually have missed a few. After releasing a string of solo albums under his own name that saw him working with everyone from singer UA to a Balinese gamelan orchestra, Fujinoya has adopted the moniker Yamp Kolt. On new album Yes, he recruited eight female vocalists and an orchestra's worth of musicians, many of whom will be joining him for the release party. Though UA had to cancel, singers including Likkle Mai, Hitomi Toi and Saya from Tenniscoats will be there, plus guests such as pianist Dairo Suga and tabla genius U-Zhaan.
