This Zima-sponsored android rock trio are set to pop up at some music festivals over the summer, but you can catch their live debut for free at Liquidroom this month. Described as a ‘Social Party Robot Band’, Z-Machines have been getting some creative pointers from Dommune's Naohiro Ukawa and computer graphics expert Yoichiro Kawaguchi, while asking the public to supply the tunes. The only thing we've heard by them so far suggests that five minutes in the company of these caterwauling cyborgs would be enough to drive anyone insane – but it's free on the door for the first 1,000 people, so why complain? Goth-Trad and DJ Kentaro support.
