Want to see Tokyo for cheap? Save on transport and get the Toei One-day Pass. For the month for December, this pass even comes in a limited-edition design and – if you’re lucky – with a surprise gift.

For starters, the Toei One-day Pass gets you unlimited rides on the Toei subway and bus lines, the Toden Arakawa Line and the Nippori-Toneri Liner for a mere ¥700 (children ¥350). With this limited-edition pass, however, you also get the chance to win special prizes when purchasing the ticket. If you find the ‘当’ symbol on your ‘Tokyo Surprise!’ One-day Pass, you’ll be presented with a set of original Toei Transportation merchandise.

The ticket, which is limited to only 10,000 pieces, is now on sale. Even if you don’t get a prize, the ticket’s contemporary design featuring Japanese motifs also makes for a good souvenir to remind you of your holiday in Tokyo. The one-day pass is available at all the stations along the Toei Oedo Line and it’s while stocks last.

The ‘Tokyo Surprise!’ One-day Pass is a collaboration between the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Transportation (Toei Transportation) and TripAdvisor. For this project, Tripadvisor has also compiled a list of the top 100 Tokyo attractions along with recommended routes.
