Uniqlo is always full of surprise collaborations. The upcoming 'Doraemon UT' collection featuring the beloved animated character in prints designed by Takashi Murakami have become the latest buzz for fans of both the artist and the iconic Japanese cartoon. Two designs in this collection were previously featured in Murakami's artwork for The Doraemon Exhibition Tokyo 2017, which was held at the Mori Art Museum late last year. These are classic Murakami motifs: smiley flowers in vibrant, cheerful colours.

The wait is almost over as this special collection finally hits stores in Japan and online on Friday, May 25. Get your hands on the limited edition plush toy (¥2,990) and the graphic tees (¥1,500). There's even a kid's collection where the limited edition T-shirts only costs ¥990. If you find this too floral for your taste, there will also be a few designs with more subdued prints taken from the classic Doraemon comics. Be warned! The flagship Uniqlo store in Ginza as well as other central locations will most likely draw crazy queues of fans eager to snatch up this limited collection, so get there early.
