Time Out says

Nine years after Jun Seba lost his life in a road accident, the Japanese music scene (not to mention a significant number of overseas listeners) is still mourning the loss of its own J Dilla. Friends and collaborators of the hip hop producer better known as Nujabes will be gathering at Circus Tokyo around the anniversary of his death to commemorate his passing – and his dazzling legacy.

Nujabes owned two Shibuya record stores and founded the independent record label Hydeout Productions. He made a name for himself with his unusual blending of hip hop and jazz sampling. You also might know him as the guy behind the incredible soundtrack for the anime Samurai Champloo.

There'll be sets from local producers and beatmakers including DJ Ryow aka Smooth Current, DJ Chika aka Inherit, plus appearances by close associate Pase Rock and a set by Marcus D.
