Time Out says

The closing of Daikanyama's Air will unfortunately also mean the end of the road for Acid City, veteran producer DJ Emma's acid house-themed party that made a name for itself as one of the top regular nights in the city. Still, there can hardly be anyone more qualified to give Acid City a proper send-off than Chicago's Nathaniel Pierre Jones – DJ Pierre is, after all, the originator of acid house. His 1986 cut 'Acid Trax' is considered the starting point of the genre, but that's hardly his only achievement: Pierre was one of house's main creative forces in the '90s, and has continued to produce everything from disco-tinged deep house to full-steam-ahead techno. Head over to Air on Saturday night and prepare for fireworks, with Emma and Pierre lighting up the booth from 10pm.
