Shibuya's Organ Bar isn't the only club in town celebrating its 20th birthday right now: Aoyama's funky Hachi marks two decades of tunes over three days, with all floors opened for spinning throughout the weekend. Friday sees a soul and hip hop-heavy serving, headed by local heroes ECD and Illicit Tsuboi, while the following evening is dedicated to techno and house courtesy of the likes of Dorian, Gonno and Takeshi Kubota. The highlight, however, comes on Sunday, when J Dilla disciple and Detroit native Andrés is set to take the floor. Having straddled two of his hometown's most potent musical scenes, the man also known as DJ Dez has both rolled with underground hip-hop crew Slum Village and released deep house cuts on Moodymann's KDJ and Mahogani Music imprints.
