Famed live house Ruby Room in Shibuya – cornerstone of Tokyo’s underground music scene – is putting on their biggest event of the year: the annual Halloween special. The all-night event kicks off with four of the scene’s favorite local bands, including the Mootekkis, acclaimed for their garage-rock sounds, and rock-reggae band Sans Danesin. This is followed by a series of DJ sets and there will be wild costumes galore to keep the party going till dawn.
Judging by past years’ events, the crowd will be spilling out the door, and the good news is, re-entry is allowed and unlimited – so you can dip in and out of the chaos of Shibuya Halloween all night long.
