Hailing from Manchester, Prime Numbers label head Trus'me seemingly came out of nowhere in 2007, wielding an R&B-stuffed sampler with precision and poise. Over the years, the overt soul, funk and boogie leanings of his earlier work have become just one facet of this producing maestro's sometimes tough, often gorgeous house and techno musings. Trus'me's latest release, last year's Planet 4, boasts a thick and groove-laced Detroit sound with dub sensibilities and a minimal beat, so if that sounds like your kind of poison, best not miss this Saturday night date at Vent.
