New Zealand-born coffee roastery Allpress has branched out from its first Japan outpost in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa by opening its second location inside the office skyscraper Toranomon Hills. In addition to a solid lineup of coffee like flat white (¥490), latte (¥530), cold brew (¥600) and long black (¥450), the menu also offers non-caffeinated drinks including hot chocolate (¥550), lemonade (¥580) and seasonal fruit juice (¥650). Dairy can be easily substituted with oat milk for an additional ¥100.
While there are baked goods such as cookies and banana bread at the counter, it’s worth ordering from Allpress’s food menu for something more substantial. The smoked salmon plate (¥1,400) is a brunch staple, as it comes with toast, a soft-boiled egg, smoked salmon, cream cheese and a healthy serving of veggies including avocado, sun-dried tomato and pickles. Something sweet instead? You can’t go wrong with the banana and almond butter toast (¥760).
