Enjoy watching the cherry blossoms at Ark Hills with delectable cherry blossom-themed treats from March 20 to April 11. More than 20 different sakura dishes will be available for takeout from 16 cafés and restaurants at the luxury shopping complex.
If you’re looking for something savoury, we recommend the pizza (¥1,944)topped with copious amounts of sakura shrimp and veggies from Wolfgang Puck Pizza Bar, or the sakurafu dengaku (¥1,188), a steamed wheat gluten and rice flour dumpling on a stick, topped with sakura from Etsubo. For something sweet, get the amaou strawberry and sakura bean paste dorayaki (¥380) from Ark Hills Cafe or a milky sakura panna cotta (¥400) from Brianza 6.1.
You can always bring your food outside, where 150 cherry blossom trees stand along the 700 metre stretch of road between Sakura-zaka and Spain-zaka, or walk towards Izumi Garden, where you can take a break under a tunnel made from 220 sakura trees on Izumi-dori. However if you’re here in the morning, head up to the rooftop garden at the Suntory Hall building, where there are plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy your takeaway meal, surrounded by nature and, of course, sakura.
