Time Out says

This peculiar café in Sendagaya is filled with rows upon rows of coat hangers, which begs the question: why? The café is run by Chana Company, which manufactures hangers for shops and boutiques around Tokyo.

The café doubles as a shop where you can actually buy most of the hangers displayed on the racks (there are two dedicated racks up at the front of the shop available for purchase). These are not your typical hangers, either. There’s a variety of options including round hangers made for knit sweaters, heavy duty coat hangers, and hangers for pants and skirts. There are even jewellery racks and special hat holders, too.

The café menu is limited to drinks and ice cream, offering a range of coffee, tea and soda. You can also order a classic kissaten item, the café’s bright green melon soda float. Balmy Café has free wifi, too, making it a great spot for remote work or just to catch up on your socials.
