Opened in September 2016 on the ground floor of the flashy new Tri-Seven building across the street from Tokyo Midtown, Bay Area coffee champions Blue Bottle's latest Tokyo branch is their fourth – and perhaps most comfortable – outpost in the capital. Hidden behind a patch of greenery one level down from Gaien Higashi-dori, the café offers a measure of peace and quiet to go with the familiar speciality coffee and simple but tasty edibles. Sold only here, the Roppongi sandwich (¥650) is a colourful combo of vegetables like tomato, carrot and avocado.
