After a successful March 2018 showing, the Boneless Café is returning for a limited time this year from Feb 28 until Apr 14. For the uninitiated, Boneless is a pair of chubby cat and dog characters designed by Niigata-based illustrator and graphic designer Mofuya. They made their debut on the Line messaging app as stamps, and since then their popularity soared and that led to a series of merchandise.
This café will be serving adorable, Instagram-worthy sweet and savoury dishes featuring the food-loving characters, such as the Boneless Cat’s Fried Rice & Salmon (¥1,390) and Boneless Dog’s Snug Doughnuts (¥990). For fans of the cat and dog, the café is also offering special presents for customers who reserve in advance online, which include original stickers, coasters and lunch mats (terms and conditions apply).
