Continuing its conquest of Japan with a fifth Tokyo outpost, New York brunch institution Bubby's came to Kichijoji's Coppice shopping complex in late March 2017. Although the opening hours (from 10am) appear to contradict the restaurant's 'breakfast first' ethos, at least this spot serves up a reliable selection of Western comfort food – think eggs benedict, burgers and pancakes – until late in the evening. Bubby's Kichijoji is also certifiably family-friendly, with kids' menus and high chairs available, so it's no surprise that local parents with small children form a significant part of its clientele.
