Time Out says

Café Accueil in Ebisu is known for its thick, soft pancakes that come with decadent toppings.

Of course, you can order the standard pancakes with fresh butter and maple syrup (¥935), but why be restrained? Specialities here include a pancake with a monstrous block of oven-baked marshmallow on top (¥1,100) and a pancake with copious amounts of sliced banana, whipped cream, ice cream and your choice of chocolate or caramel sauce (¥1,430). The café has eight types of pancakes on offer year-round, plus a few seasonal versions, including a peach and rare cheesecake pancake during the summer and a Halloween-themed pumpkin pancake in autumn.

There are plenty of savoury options available, too, including meat, rice and pasta dishes, but you’ll want to make sure to save room for those gargantuan pancakes.
