This Hawaiian import left the basement of Omotesando's Gyre building in June 2017 for even more spacious quarters on the ninth floor of Shibuya's Modi mall. Don't expect any less of a wait, though: diners will diligently queue for a few hours at the weekend to get their fruit-laden pancakes, French toast and waffles. If you'd prefer something savoury, the new Cafe Kaila offers meaty dishes such as loco moco and Hawaiian curry in the evening, with a decent range of vegetarian options.
