Slip away from the frenzy of central Shibuya at this aptly named shisha bar, the offspring of a popular smoking den in Koenji. Hidden away on the sixth floor of a building not far from Tokyu Hands, Chillin' feels as much like a squat as a conventional café. Sit on well-worn armchairs and admire the Persian rugs while sampling some of the 60-plus flavours of tobacco on offer, ranging from fruit and herb varieties to a range of 'cocktails' (if you've ever wondered what it would be like to smoke a margarita, now's your chance to find out). The ¥700 seating charge includes all the coffee and chai you can stomach, though there's also a menu of alcoholic and soft drinks available. Chillin' stays open until the first train on most nights.
