After two decades of hip-shaking action at the heart of Roppongi, Salsa Sudada fell afoul of the Japanese police force's newfound prudishness toward late-night dancing. But all was not lost: the Latin hotspot has been reborn as a sit-down restaurant, albeit one with regular live music, performances and free dance lessons at the weekend. Paraiso kicks off its opening weekend with three nights of parties, starting on September 27 (doors 6pm, ¥1,000 entry).
