Founded in Los Angeles back in 1963 and now operating branches in 29 countries, the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf chain has been spreading the gospel of speciality brews and single-origin beans long before hipsters embraced the terms. Its first Tokyo location opened in Nihonbashi last year, and it appears the time has come for a little expansion: café number two opened its doors in Aoyama in April, and is poised to draw crowds with an all-day breakfast menu that ranges from 'artisanal toast' to a French toast served with vanilla ice cream and espresso. The best part is that Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Minami-Aoyama is up and running from 7am on weekdays – Coutume, best stay on top of your game, because there's a new cowboy in town.
