Time Out says
As you can infer from its name, Eggslut is all about the humble eggs, but taken to new heights in a series of speciality breakfast sandwiches, which it is famous for. Originally from Los Angeles, this is the mini-chain’s first outlet in Japan.
Go for the spicy Fairfax (¥880) sandwich with caramelised onions, cheddar cheese, creamy scrambled egg and sriracha mayonnaise, all encased between golden brioche buns. Otherwise, for a milder taste, the egg salad sandwich (¥700) features hard-cooked eggs mixed with chives, honey mustard aioli and aragula. Eggslut has also created a Japan-exclusive sandwich, where the star ingredient is paired with a juicy beef patty and pickles, and dressed with a mayo-mustard sauce.
To finish, muster all your self-control and order the Slut without snickering like an adolescent. It is a very enjoyable breakfast: a jar of creamy mashed potatoes topped with a coddled egg and a sprinkle of salt, served with toasted crostini (¥850). Simply break the yolk, mix all the ingredients, and dip in with your bread. It’s a good dish to start the day.
