Due to the current quasi-state of emergency, Ethical Spirits & Coffee is not currently serving alcohol.
This café in the financial district of Otemachi specialises in coffee and craft gin. It’s run by The Ethical Spirits & Co who also own a distillery in Asakusa serving quality spirits made from food waste. The coffee offered here is made with beans from Light Up Coffee and comes in two types, called classic and modern, which change depending on the season. You can drink a cup of joe at the café, or purchase some beans in a bottle to take home. Don’t throw away the container – you can get a discount if you bring it back to purchase your next batch of beans.
You can also enjoy a range of cocktails using the company’s gin made from coffee bean husks. Coffee husks are often discarded but Ethical Spirits has found a way to use them to make delicious gin with a hint of coffee flavour. The lineup of desserts is also not to be missed. Try the sudachi pistachio pound cake or a hojicha tea cookie made with high quality roasted green tea from Kiroku Tea Garden in Kyoto.
